The next Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry is scheduled on April 5, 2023, during spring break. The volunteer team has about six regular volunteers who will be traveling, so April would be a great month to participate on this mission. Last month, over 5,000 pounds of food was distributed to 70 households, 274 individuals, 64 seniors, 101 children and 14 veterans. The volunteer team was 15 people strong. Richard Johnson was able to deliver a large load of surplus food to United Outreach Christian Ministries. Volunteers will gather at 5:00 PM, distribution starts at 6:00PM. The location of distribution is at The Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church, 1550 Oswego NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504. Finacial donations are welcome by using the church app or by writing a personal check to St. John's UCC, 1934 Bridge Street, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504. For further questions, contact Teresa Markoski at 616-690-4566 or at tmarkoski2004@yahoo.com. Thank you for your continued support. Together we serve.

Help us celebrate Easter!
Last year we had such a wonderful response to our request for everyone to bring bouquets and potted flowers to decorate the chancel that we are again asking everyone consider bringing flowers again this year to be placed on and around the altar for our Easter service. Just bring place your flowers up to the chancel prior to the service and then take them home again after the service. Let's make our church alive with the beauty of creation.
After the service we will again be having an Easter Egg hunt for all children at the service. Children can bring their own Easter basket to collect eggs which they can redeem for candy. We will need volunteers to "hide" the eggs and/or redeem eggs for candy that morning. Donations of candy or small items can still be made on Palm Sunday.
Just a reminder--Palm Sunday will be celebrated this week as Passion Sunday with both the chancel and bell choirs and a dramatic reading of the Passion story. Children will be moving through the events of Holy Week in their worship centers in a very moving and memorable way.
Join us for an evening of fun for all ages. Bring your favorite game, a snack to share, or just your fabulous self! Hope you can join us.

Ladies,
I hope you are all enjoying spring and our new read: Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. This again is a different read from most of our books. So far it has been interesting. For next Tuesday-March 28th we will be discussing pages 21 to 43. If you are reading along with us, you will notice no chapters. So we are breaking it down to pages each week.
Next meeting March 28th at 6:30p on zoom— link below
