Today at 6:30 PM: Girlfriends

Girlfriends is a group of women who enjoy reading and discussing books on Christian themes. We meet on zoom for about 90 minutes each week (zoom links are included below). We meet starting at  6:30 until 8pm on Tuesday nights

We are still studying and in discussions on the Diana Butler Bass book “Freeing Jesus.” We will be starting the discussion on  page  222 in the section named Presence at the conclusion of “Freeing Jesus”

Girlfriends will be taking a few weeks break. This will help everyone get ready for the next book.

The next book we will be reading is “A Bigger Table” by John Pavlovitz

”A Bigger Table invites readers to envision a church that’s big enough for everyone. Holding a mirror to the modern church and speaking clearly on issues at heart of the Christian community: LGBTQ inclusion, gender equality, racial tensions, global concerns and theological shifts.”

Girlfriends group is open  to any one who enjoys reading and discussions on books. We welcome new members to our group and your thoughts on our subjects. If you have any questions about the group, please contactBarb Huitema at girlfriends@stjohnsuccgr.org. You do not have to be a member of St. John’s church to join our group.

Girlfriends group meets on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm for 8 pm. 90 minutes of discussion. Hope to see you there
