Tuesday, May 10, 2022: Girlfriends

We are still studying and in discussions on the Diana Butler Bass book “Freeing Jesus.”  We will be starting the discussion on  page  208 Liberation.

At the conclusion of “Freeing Jesus”  girlfriends will be taking a few weeks break. This will help everyone get ready for the next book.

The Next book we will be reading is “A Bigger Table” by John Pavlovitz. ”A Bigger Table” invites readers to envision a church that’s big enough for everyone. Holding a mirror to the modern church and speaking clearly on issues at heart of the Christian community: LGBTQ inclusion, gener equality, racial tensions, global concerns and theological shifts.”

Girlfriends group id open to any one who enjoys reading and discussions on books. We welcome new people to our group and your thoughts on our subjects. If you have any questions about the group, please contact Barb Huitema at girlfriends@stjohnsuccgr.org. You do not have to be a member of St.John’s church to join our group.

Girlfriends group meets on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pmfor 90 minutes of discussion. Hope to see you there

This Sunday, May 1, 2022

Welcome to Sunday morning!  This is the day that God has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it!

  • We will run air purifiers/circulators within the sanctuary when people are present

  • We will keep windows open when possible when people are present

  • We recommend increased distancing

There are links below this message to the order of service, the weekly Journal, a children's bulletin for the week's lectionary readings, a youth Bible Study, an Adult Bible Study, and a devotional guide for the week. Please share these resources with your family and friends and know that we are joined together across any distances or difficulties that might separate us.

We are able to provide all of these wonderful services because of your continuing generosity and support.  If you are able to give to support our ministries, please do. You can make a donation or set up regular giving by clicking here:  http://www.stjohnsuccgr.org/give .  You can also simply mail your check to the church:
