Confirmation Journey

As part of their spiritual journey, we brought our St. John's UCC Confirmation students, along with their mentors and Pastor (Rev. Dr. Bill Lyons) to a Reform Jewish Temple (Temple Emanuel) to learn about Judaism on Friday.  We brought the class to an Islamic Mosque (Masjid At Tawheed) to learn about the diverse Muslim community on Saturday.  They studied and experienced the similarities and differences in the ways that we worship.  We are grateful for each step of the journey!  We are also grateful for your support and encouragement as the students assume their new roles this Fall as Liturgist, Greeter, Usher, Acolyte, and in our upcoming intergenerational class. Let's continue to welcome our young adults into the full life and ministry of St John's UCC!
