Blessing of the Animals

September 09, 2013/ Guest User

Blessing of the Animals Service! Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 10am!

All creatures great and small are welcome to attend the Blessing of the Animals at St. John's United Church of Christ. If you don't think your finned, feathered or furry friend will be comfortable in a crowd, bring a picture or just their name and we will extend God's blessing to them. Pets that have passed on will be remembered. Stuffed animals are welcome too! Refreshments after the service for both people and pets will be served, and tidy-bags for the church yard will be available. For the safety and comfort of all attendees including the animals, pets need to be appropriately controlled (leash, crate, tank, cage, etc.) Let us give thanks for the creatures with whom we share our planet and our lives.
