Today at 5:00PM: Mobile Food Pantry

A Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Pantry is scheduled on May 6, 2026, sponsored by St. John's UCC in partnership with Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church.  Volunteers will gather at 5:00pm at 1550 Oswego NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504. Distribution begins at 6:00pm. Last month, we distributed 4,419 pounds of food to 91 families, 292 individuals, 99 children, 73 seniors, and 10 veterans.  A total of 25 volunteers worked together to address food insecurity in our community. Surplus food was delivered to UCOM by Richard Johnston, oranges and bread were delivered to Grandview Apartments share table.  We continue to be an equal opportunity provider.   For more information about the Mobile Food Pantry, feel free to contact Teresa Markoski at 616-690-4566 or at tmarkoski2004@yahoo.com.  Financial support is welcome by donating on the church app, or by mailing a check to St. John's UCC, 1934 Bridge Street NW, Grand Rapids, MI. 49504.  Together, we serve.

Dear Friends, We will continue our discussion on, "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh.  We did not make it through all of Chapter 7 and 8, so we will pickup on page 105 of chapter 7 and continue with chapter 8 and 9 and 10.  We hope to finish the book this coming Tuesday or the next Tuesday.  We will take some time off for summer and figure out our next book in the coming Tuesdays.  If you have a book suggestion let us know!!!!  See you at the meet and greet meetings on Saturday with our pastor candidate.  Blessing to you all, Barb

Join us for a casual evening with a bonfire, yard games, and food. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move indoors to Fellowship Hall.

These are great opportunities to meet Jason, ask questions, and connect in a relaxed setting. You're welcome to attend both! Friends and family are welcome.
