Today at 6:30PM: Girlfriends

Good afternoon Ladies

Well it’s finally spring. And all my flowering weeds are popping up. I have a great crop of dandelions this year. But the lawn fertilizer company is coming this week to put weed control stuff on the grass. So hopefully that will help take care of them. But they are at least a great sign that Spring is here. I love spring with all the flowers 🌺, plants, popping up and the trees flowering 🌳and leafing out. I’m  a warmer weather person. I like the sun shine🌞 days. But I also enjoy a nice steady light spring rain🌧️⛈️. I like to watch the birds🕊️🦅, rabbits🐰, squirrels 🐿️ and 🦌deer. Where I live we see quite a few different animals wondering.

We will be meeting on Tuesday night at 6:30p to discuss pages 125 to 160 in our current Book Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. Zoom link will be included in this message.

The girlfriends group offers prayer🙏s and get well wishes to:

  • Susan Newsom’s sister Mary and nephew John

  • To the St. John’s choir members with Covid Joel, Becky, Todd, Frank, Christine and Marilyn

  • To the family of Mark Moore on the passing of his brother.

  • To David and Sue Bradford and family on the passing of David’s brother Dan’s partner Charlie.

  • To Karl and Patti Betz and family on the passing of Karl’s brother Ken

  • To Judy Krause for strength in her continued care of Jerry.

  • Continued healing to Lorraine Loef-Post and Marilyn Gillette from Covid

  • Continued healing to Bren Tooley and Pat Partridge from their  foot surgeries.

  • To Barb Huitema safe travels on the trip she is taking.

  • For a good gathering at the Congregational meeting next Sunday—April 30th.

  • Prayers and many Thanks to Christine and Margaret on their work and time on council.

  • Prayerful welcome to the new Council Members and re-elected council members. May the Lord lead you in this work for our church.

  • Continued and ongoing prayers to all St. John’s members and friends. You continue to honor us with your friendship and blessing each week. May you all know you are loved and cared about by your St. John’s family.
