Wednesday, December 02, 2020: Food Truck

St. John's UCC,  The Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church and The Lake Effect Church will work together to deliver food purchased through Feeding America .  Our mission is to relieve hunger and increase food security. Volunteers can gather at 5:00 PM to set up tables and supplies. The truck delivery from Feeding America is scheduled to arrive at 5:30.  Volunteers will then unload food from the truck and organize produce and groceries. Drive through distribution only starts at 6:00 PM. We will continue to work outside.  Feel free to contact Teresa Markoski for further questions at 616-690-4566 or at tmarkoski2004@yahoo.com. Donations for Kid's Pageant Goodie Bags

Our St. John's kids are working hard creating a Christmas pageant to be shown in the virtual service on December 20th. The Education Team plans to make goodie bags and deliver them to the kids's front porch on December 20th as a thank you for their hard work in spreading God's word this season.

If you are interested in donating to the goodie bags, we are looking for candy, stickers, clementines, crayons, coloring pages, sweet notes from you, anything you are willing to donate to make our kiddos smile. We plan to make about 30 goodie bags.

If you are interested in contributing, any donations need to be to church no later than December 13 and we are placing all donations for the kids's goodie bags on the pool table in the Bridge room.

Wednesday, November 04, 2020: Food Truck

St. John’s UCC and The Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church will be volunteering together to distribute food.  Our mission is to relieve hunger and increase food security in northwest Grand Rapids. 

Volunteers are needed at 5:00 PM to unload produce and groceries purchased from Feeding American . Drive through only distribution will begin at 6:00 PM . We will continue to work outside, so dress warmly!

Saturday, October 24, 2020: Family Zoom

Another chance for our kiddos to see each other and interact together again. We will do another scavenger hunt (like the rainbow scavenger hunt we did during VBS).
