The September Feeding America West Michigan Mobile Food Pantry sponsored by St. Johns in partnership with Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church moved 7,557 pounds of food and reached 108 households, 378 individuals, 68 seniors 160 children and 10 veterans. A crew of 21 volunteers included two new recruits, Annabelle, niece of Brian Gordon and Annabelle Garrison. We were thankful not to run out of food and to have to opportunity to share surplus food with UCOM. Rick Heath, Todd Krupp, Richard and Christine Johnson made a strong delivery team. LeAnn Merrill used her superpowers organizing the storage closet and Izzy became our recycling manager. On October4, 2023 volunteers will gather at 5:00pm at 1550 Oswego NW, Grand Rapids MI, 49504.
