Top of the morning to you! St. John's UCC in partnership with Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church will host a Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry on March 6. 2024 at 1550 0swego NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49504. Volunteers will gather at 5:00pm and distribution begins at 6:00pm. Last month, a small but mighty team of 16 volunteers moved 6,270 pounds of food. A total of 198 children received food supplements, breaking another record number of children benefitting from the Mobile Food Pantry. Households receiving food totaled 137. Statistics included 475 individuals, 81 seniors and 12 veterans were provided with grapefruit, frozen breakfast meals, yogurt, apples, cottage cheese, potatoes. almonds, beef stew and milk. Richard and Christine Johnston delivered surplus food to UCOM and colorful knitted hats made by Carol Stechow were distributed to happy guests.
