Backpack Blessing Sunday, August 31.

Kids, you are invited to bring their school backpacks to worship at St. John's United Church of Christ, Sunday, August 31  for the 10 am service. Fill them with filled with your notebooks, pens and pencils, lunchboxes, books, calculators, padlocks, and anything else you will be using in class this school year.  Wear your school uniform (if you have one) that day too! 

Teachers, you are invited to bring your lesson plans, coffee mugs and other essentials that day too.  We will bless all the “back-to-school stuff” as we ask God to bless our children, teens and teachers for the upcoming academic year. 

During August, everyone is invited to bring a pack of pens or pencils (thick ones for little fingers, as well as, #2 size) or a box of crayons to share with kids attending the Food Truck on September 4.  Donors can place items in front of the small altar and we’ll watch the pile grow together! And remember our Undie Sundays new kids underwear and sox drive through mid September.
