St. John's United Church of Christ is committed to teaching our children and youth how to celebrate Thanksgiving in ways that honor and respect the history of the indigenous and immigrant people from whom our modern Thanksgiving holiday comes.

Visit the Thanksgiving page to learn more about the history and traditions of Thanksgiving. There you will find Bible readings about gratitude, links to interactive activities for kids, recipes, and other resources.

We hope you will share your favorite Thanksgiving traditions and resources on our Facebook page. May this Thanksgiving be a deeply meaningful experience of God's blessings and their purpose for you, your family and your friends.

Just a reminder that the Grand Rapids Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration happens on Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. hosted by Westminster Presbyterian Church, 47 Jefferson SE, downtown.
