Hello Everyone!!!Hope you are enjoying the sunshine!!  Last night's mobile food pantry was a success, sunshine broke out for a lovely evening, with a wonderful team of volunteers.  Thanks again to Teresa M., our wonderful leader.  Prayers for Christine and Diana and Judy for healing and prayers of thanksgiving for their caregivers.  We will continue our discussion of "Invisible Lines of Connection" by Lawrence Kushner, pages 55 to 78. Also got to check out the landscape work at church by David and Donna and their son--just Wow!!!  Bern and i are just past our 14th day after Covid and happy to be out and about again!!!  Blessing to you all and see you on Sunday!!! Let's work together on June 5, 2024.  St. John's UCC in partnership with Sudanese Grace Episcopal Church will host a Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry at 1550 Oswego NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504.  This is an equal opportunity provider.  Last month, we were fortunate to have 21 volunteers to move 7,152 pounds of food.  Food was distributed to 123 households, 411 individuals, 156 children, 103 seniors and 13 veterans.  Todd Krupp and Rick Heath delivered surplus food to UCOM.  Lindsey Kremer registered clients even though it was her son's birthday.  New to the team were Eva and Calvin Little and Rachel and Spencer Hoffman, all who could lift heavy!  For more information about the Mobile Food Pantry, feel free to contact Teresa Markoski at tmarkoski2004@yahoo.com or at 616-690-4566. Financial support is always welcome by contributing on the church app or by sending a check to St. John's United Church of Christ , 1934 Bridge Street NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504.  It takes a village to feed our neighbors.  Together we serve.
