Hanging of the Greens 2016

This Sunday, November 20, you are invited to join us for our annual Hanging of the Greens! After 10am worship service, we will gather for lunch in Fellowship Hall, then deck the halls and sanctuary with trees, garland, wreaths, centerpieces, and more! All ages are welcome! Lunch: Families with last names beginning A-K, are asked to bring a crock pot of soup or crackers to share. Families with last names L-Z, please bring a salad or bread to share. Let's make the season bright together!

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Monday, November 21, 7:00 p.m. at Central Reformed Church, 10 College Ave. N.E.

(Corner of Collage and Fulton, Heritage Hill)

Join us for the Grand Rapids Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration which has been celebrated annually since the year 2000.  All are welcome to attend"Coming Together, Welcoming All", an Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration. A wide variety of denominations will be woven together with a common theme of gratitude from many traditions. 

Pride Fest 2016

Join St. John's United Church of Christ to celebrate diversity and inclusion at the 28th Annual Pride Festival in Calder Plaza, 250 Monroe Ave.,  on Saturday, June 18.

We will kick off the day by gathering downtown at the Hand in Hand event from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Visit our St. John's United Church of Christ booth from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Stay and enjoy all of the festival booths, opportunities, and entertainment from noon to midnight. A concert will be hosted by Alex Newell (from TV's GLEE) and singer/songwriter Steve Grand, along with performances by Deborah Cox and others will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue until midnight at Calder Plaza.
